Homeopathy for Children: Asthma, Allergies and Eczema
Homeopathy for Children: Asthma, Allergies and Eczema
Presented by Little Mountain Homeopathy
Date: Wednesday March 24th
Time: 11am
Classical homeopathy is a complete system of medicine that is over 200 years old
and is the most popular form of alternative medicine in the world, yet it is
virtually unknown in North America. Classical homeopath Sonya McLeod first
discovered homeopathy after it cured her of food allergies and debilitating
fatigue. She will talk about how she has used homeopathy to successfully treat
her family and her clients for eczema, asthma and allergies. Learn about this
amazing form of natural healing that can be used safely and effectively
alongside traditional medicine. There will also be an introductory lecture about
classical homeopathy, a discussion of natural eczema creams, and a question and
answer period.
Bio: Sonya McLeod, BA, DCH
Sonya was born and raised in Vancouver. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Sonya then went to school for another 4 years and earned a practitioner diploma in classical homeopathy from the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy. Live Music- Friday February 26th @5pm
Bio:
Wee Boy Pretty makes accomplished songwriting
sparkle. Intricate guitar stylings, a bounty of
percussion and vocals that are sometimes raw,
sometimes fragile, but always dead on.
Lyrically driven and spattered with deliciously
psychedelic flourishes, Wee Boy Pretty ride from
beach bonfire to dance floor. There’s groovy, there’s
quirky, there’s out-and-out pop. They’ve been
compared to everything from G-Love to Feist, Elbow to the Sneaker Pimps.
The long-standing musical relationship between
singer Jo Cairns and guitarist Sandor Gyurkovics
began as a Whistler summer in 2002, sharing a love of music and bare feet. After weeks of stalking and discovering their shared passion for music and Zoolander, they formed ‘Blue Steel’ and within a week were gigging and recording.
They’ve since move on to form musical machine that is Wee Boy Pretty, with percussionist Erin
Sharp, drummer Andrew Newton and bassist Josh
Knepper. It has been a wild adventure and a total
delight, and 7 years and 5000 miles in, the
journey feels like it’s only just beginning.
There’s a palpable energy at Wee Boy Pretty base
camp. So come out to play, and let’s make something
big, something grand and something beautiful.

How to find the right topic and form it into something memorable, as well as how to create of quality listening and presenting experiences when sharing your poetry with others. Ways to reach a broad audience without sacrificing your own personal writer’s freedom and integrity. BIO: Since moving to Vancouver from Prince Edward Island four years ago Ryan Fletcher has been active as a poet in the Vancouver scene. Using a distinctly quiet and direct approach Ryan creates an intimate atmosphere when reading, then with skilful timing draws audiences into the many different worlds of his writings. With poetic voices ranging anywhere from the soft and deeply romanticized, ‘Healthy Hearts’, ‘Beach’, and ‘Cranberry Juice’ to impassioned calls to activist action in, ‘Just TV’, ‘Broken Hearts Die Slowly’, and ‘Ode to the Weed’ to the more dangerously outrageous voices present in pieces like his popular, ‘Damn Romance!’, attending one of Fletcher’s readings is an emotional experience. As he said in an interview, “it is emotion that one ultimately takes away from life situations, and it is my interest to explore that part of living.” With a simple and direct writing style and a gift for perspective, Ryan Fletcher writes works built to reach any kind of audience, whether it be analytical academics or regular blue collar workers. With an academic background of English, History, and Psychology, and work experience ranging from harvests and landscaping, to warehouses, fast food joints, organic delis, casinos, offices, museums and radio stations, Fletcher knows many voices. He said his ultimate interest lies in, “Disarming any lies we may be telling ourselves and celebrating the human experience, good and bad”, “It is my hope that my poems will leave audiences with beautiful impressions of truth that has them feeling good and curious about the magic of life.” To read some of Ryan’s works visit the ‘Rhyme and Punishment’ section of the www.unconformed.com
